“I have often walked down this street before, but the pavement’s always stayed beneath my feet before…”

I love that song from My Fair Lady. It’s a romantic ballad that puts a smile on my face, each time I hear it.  Although it’s a different kind of love, altogether, I love my street.

It is a very, busy street.  Yet, to me, the sounds of the passing cars are as soothing as an oscillating fan on a hot, summer day.  In this shot, you’ll see my husband walking our dog. Across the street is the public library, and a small Catholic University. Having moved here from the country, our longtime friends thought we were crazy, but we are within walking distance to multiple restaurants, museums, parks, etc.  I believe we made the right move for this time in our life. We are surrounded by people and in an environment that we can easily spend time, together.
