I love the Two Cents Tuesday Challenge. Today’s word of the day is “dirty”
The first thing that comes to mind are my floors. At first glance, it’s not so bad. Wooden floors look fantastically clean; until you step on them with bare feet. Nothing says “dirty” like beginning the day in white socks and ending with something that resembles charcoal gray. It’s that grit; the dirt trapped in the soles of our scientifically designed shoes. We drag that stuff throughout the house. There is so much of it, a daily vacuum isn’t satisfactory. And yes, i confess. We have animals. Hair is an issue. Not to mention the little “gifts” our furry family members love to present. Take a close look at the photo on the left. At the bottom of the stairs, our kitten. At the top of the stairs, the head of a lizard.

My solution: a nice pair of fuzzy slippers! There is no such thing as a dirty floor when you have fuzzy slippers on your feet. Ignorance is bliss!
Imagine if you had wall-to-wall: Animals and children – both leave their gifts! Hope that lizard wasn’t also a pet – thanks for your entry.
